A calm, collaborative partner in your growth

Morgan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist and the founder of Brain Matters Counseling, LLC, a solo private practice serving the Webb City and Joplin, Missouri communities.

She believes that reaching out for support is an act of courage — and that everyone deserves a space where they feel truly heard. Her work blends genuine warmth with practical, evidence-based tools, whether that’s DBT skills for managing overwhelming emotions or play therapy that meets children in their own language.

Morgan works with children as young as four, adolescents, adults, couples, and families — supporting anxiety, life transitions, emotional regulation, relationships, and more.

A comfortable, safe environment for healing

Located in Webb City, our office is designed to feel less like a clinical institution and more like a comfortable living room. From natural light to calming textures, every detail is considered to help you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door.

We also feature a dedicated playroom equipped with therapeutic toys, sand trays, and art supplies, creating a specialized environment where children feel safe to express themselves.

Prefer to meet from home? We offer secure telehealth appointments for clients across Missouri, bringing the same level of care directly to your own comfortable space.

Care built on trust

Genuine warmth

Therapy works best inside a real, trusting relationship. You'll be met with kindness and without judgment — always.

Meeting you where you are

No two people are alike. Your care is shaped around your goals, your pace, and what actually matters to you.

Evidence-based practice

Compassion paired with proven approaches like DBT skills and play therapy — care that is both caring and effective.

What to expect

What happens in the first session?

The first session is primarily about getting to know you. We'll discuss what brought you to counseling, your personal history, and what you hope to achieve. It's a low-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Therapy is a highly individualized process. Some clients find what they need in a few months of focused work, while others benefit from longer-term support as they navigate ongoing life transitions.

Yes. In addition to in-person sessions at our Webb City office, we provide secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services for clients anywhere in the state of Missouri.
